Golf in class in the Caribbean
By Steve Keenan Ten LSCC squad members took time off cricketing duties to spend the afternoon at the Magdalena Grand Beach Resort, which six months ago took ownership of the surrounding Tobago Plantations course. There’s been a long drought in Tobago which, typically, broke on the day we flew in. But it’s obviously good news […]
LSSC Caribbean tour: Day 7
Sadly, day seven was the last full one in Tobago, so a number of us took the chance to see a bit of the island’s very different Atlantic coast. The final destination was the small town of Speyside and its assorted islands. A splendid meal there featured breadfruit pie, and it’s surprising that the dish […]
LSCC Caribbean tour: Day 6
Day six saw the second function of the Tobago leg: a reception with Orville London, Chief Secretary of the Tobago House of Assembly. This is the devolved government of the smaller island within the T&T republic, and their office of information has been filming our progress, including this event. After the usual preliminaries, Mr. London […]
Match report: The stuff of legends
By Mark Barber Follow the tour progress on our Facebook page The mark of a man is not how often he gets knocked down, but what he does when he gets back up. And, having been taken apart by Bon Accord the previous day, London Saints licked their collective wounds, took heart from the Tobago […]

But I can’t really comment on the batting, having opted instead to watch […]
LSSC Caribbean tour: Day 3
A split in the party for delay three, with one group opting for what sounded to me like an exercise in driving a jeep as fast as possible through a nature reserve. I’m sure it was kinder to the environment than that, but more anon. The rest of us attended the tour’s first official event: […]
Jack Cork: LSCC Player of the Season
By LSSC Match Reporter Eric Shadick The best end of season “Do’s” are when we all come on the pitch – a lap of honour is second best, and waiting for visiting fans to vacate the stadium first also spoils the spontaneity. I didn’t want to hang around whilst the Manchester United army cleared off […]
Cricketers suffer heavy defeat to Sunderland
Dropping the opponent’s star batsman when he’d only scored 2 runs proved the cricket team’s downfall yesterday as he went on to make a match-winning 125 not out, and the skipper was clean-bowled by a 9-year-old. All in all, not a great day at the office!
Grant the hero
London Saints CC in tight scrap with Cincinatti – but are undone by a batsman who has scored centuries in his last three games against us. Still, there were two positives from the match, including the debut of Steve Grant
