Saints 4-0 Coventry City
In the end, promotion was secured in emphatic fashion in front of a full house at St Mary’s. It’s been a long and enthralling season.
Hull City 0-2 Saints
This was a terrific result againts in form Hull, made even more so given that Saints nearest rivals dropped points.
Millwall 2-3 Saints
It looked as though Saints were heading for another defeat against Millwall, who knocked them out of the FA Cup, but two late penalties secured another away win.
Saints 2-0 Barnsley
Adam Lallana’s goals either side of half-time saw off a stubborn Barnsley side but it could have been many more come the end.
Saints 1-1 Ipswich Town
Not a great performance but Saints still created enough chances to finish off a neat Ipswich side but a late equaliser to Lambert’s opener saw spoils shared.
Leeds United 0-1 Saints
Rickie Lambert’s stunning effort sealed the points – along with a series of stunning saves by Kelvin Davis in a ‘backs to the wall’ effort!
Watford 0-3 Saints
Rickie Lambert scored a hat-trick as the Championship’s leading marksman sent Southampton to the top of the table with a 3-0 win at Watford.
Saints 4-0 Derby
Chung opens his legs and shows his class in scoring the last goal in a team performance that benefitted from a poor showing from The Rams
Saints 2-0 Burnley
With players returning to the fold Saints came up with their best performance in weeks against an in-form Burnley side.
