London Saints

London Saints V Chester at the Horseshoe Monday 18th May

Team assembled on time consisting of John (Nice Pint)- captain , Chairman Mick, Simon, Rory and his mate Andrew.

Playing on the board at the corner of the bar.

Double 1 was to feature thorough out the match shows the importance of practicing on this. The first team game goes back and forth but Saints eventually win, might be a bit luckily. Next up the doubles and trebles with Saints losing both. Next up the singles with Simon against their best player narrowly losing, 3 – 1 to Chester. Rory makes it 3 – 2 and then Andrew making his London Saints debut narrow loses, to make it 4 – 2 to Chester, Saints now have to win the 3 remaining games to win the match. Up steps Chairman Mick and after a long match (their player not being able to a hit double 1, he was close on several occasions) he hits his winning double, 4 – 3 to Chester. Next up is the captain and after some high scores gets to a finish quite quickly ending up needing 19. Hits 17 (I was going for a 3 and double 8 don’t tell anyone) and hits double 1 first dart, 4 – 4. The team game is the decider, Chester decide against a beer leg something about the captain’s finishing. We score well and get to a Tops to win it, with Chairman Mick delivering, to win the match. London Saints snatching victory from the jaws of defeat. All finished very early. Man of the match chairman Mick for keeping us in it and hitting tops to win the match.

Captain John well played team!
