London Saints V Scunthorpe at the Libertine – Won 3 – 6

So, a potential promotion decider tonight (depending what happens with un-played matches)!started badly, I was running late and Jenni picked a poor order for the team game, which forgetting how we beat Citeh so easily we lost after racing into a big lead ! 0-1 next Harry, Simple and Nice Pint won the trebles with Lil’ Harry hitting the winner, VdV and I played the doubles and I won it with a classic double one (having left us 3 !) Jenni made up for her earlier error by re-arranging the order for the singles. Harry won.again to make it 3-1, Jen did lose but I was very entertaining! Nice Pint lost his singles despite celebrating a winning double (which was no where near) a couple of times. 3-3. Simple then played the best leg of the night and finished with 73 check out to put us in the lead and I followed that up with a double 8 to beat an opponent who hit three treble 20’s and wrap up the match. We agreed  a beer-leg and the statisticians from Scunny calculated that a win for them would mean promotion, so after what seemed like a lifetime Harry got a double one and possibly won us promotion??? Man U and Blackpool have only played one each so the committee will need to work it all out, but the consensus from our squad is, we love the second division !!❤️ man of the match should be Harry for his three winning doubles but he’s lost his darts and borrowed Johns so one of his wins goes to Nice Pint, therefore I am man of the match again. I thank you 🤗

Promotion

Last nights win does put us in 2nd place, Newcastle top, us second and Scunny 3rd. We have played 5 of our 7 as have Newcastle and Scunny. Man U have not played a game and Blackpool only one v Man City which doesn’t affect the table. I suspect this means we have been promoted, well done team (and bad luck 🤔) the table has not been updated but I think it did come down to the beer leg and we have finished in 37 to Scunthorpes 36 !

Final Table
