Charlton Women Away Lost 2 – 0

A large contingent of London Saints were at the Valley to see Saints Women play their last game of the season.

Saints started badly conceding in 4 minutes when Rendell was caught on the ball for McGowan to score.

Saints struggled to get into the game but managed to hit the woodwork twice with Charlton always looking dangerous on the break. Half time 1 – 0.

McGowan scored again just before the hour mark to double the Addicks lead.

Saints couldn’t find the breakthrough they were looking for to turn the contest around despite a handful of chances and an impressive work rate across the board.

Saints wrap up an eventful season, with an impressive fourth place in the Barclays Women’s Championship and securing their highest points total in the competition yet.
