London Saints

APFSCIL Darts Division 1 London Saints V Sunderland Lost 3 – 6

I think, tonight was the first London Saints darts match I have played that didn’t have a double one finish 🤔 I’m a competitive person, I like to win, but in darts there is little you can do when the opponents are better, other than try your best, we did that tonight. They won the first team game with an ominous 121 finish and after winning the trebles and then the doubles (just) we were in trouble. I put player of the season (so far) Nice Pint on first in the singles but their number one was too good and we were  soon 4-0 down 😳 Little Harry was looking like he’d be well beaten too, but when I pointed out the highest score you can get in darts is a treble 20 he hit 3 in three rounds and came back to win his game with a great finish on 5  with a 1 double 2 🥳 next up was Simple who continued the forward momentum making it 4-2 then I edged a close one with a double ten at second attempt to make it 4-3…Andy the Champ started poorly but then strung together  a run  of 121, 81, 100 to so nearly win his game too, but alas Adam hit the winning double for the Black Cats. The pizzas arrived and we agreed as each team had six players we’d play a beer leg, unfortunately the match ended as it began with an easy leg win for Sunderland, but we can hold our heads up high, unlike our football team we put up a fight. Sunderland were another nice bunch of lads and the music in the 🐻  was spot on tonight, it was a very enjoyable evening despite the loss, we’re not down yet but we have to win our last game 😇💪 man of the Match was whoever was in charge of the juke box !

What was your finish Simon, I know it’s was  a double top but you needed more than 40 ?

78

18-20-tops

Having  read my report again I also forgot to say that Jenni was there too 😂 we got very close to winning our doubles match as she left me an easy double 2 and a half I should have snaffled 🙄
