Lords and Ex-Saints night proceeds find worthy homes-Body

Hi Mick.

Good to hear from you. Hope we can all get together again soon and they still talk about the great night we had in London with you. Please pass this on at your AGM.

With reference to the charities, I don’t know if you recall Nicky Banger who played for the Saints for 12 years. He has a daughter who has cerebal palsy and needed a special wheelchair which had to be manufactured to order to fit her. We paid for this which was £2,500 and presented it at her school with Francis Benali, Matt le Tissier, David Hughes,Hughie Fisher and of course Nicky Banger and myself representing the ex Saints and your goodselves for the donation. It was a fantastic day and we had massive publicity in the local press so thank you so much. The other £1,500 was donated to the families of two firemen who lost their lives tragically in a major fire in Southampton. They were very young and had young families. We did this with Matt le Tissier presenting the cheque to them.

So Mick these were very worthwhile charitable donations and ironically we had a Board Meeting today and the board not knowing that you had contacted me, wanted me to thank all the people that had donated from London Saints and wish you all the best for the future.

Mike
