Gill walks it for charity
Thank you to everyone who sponsored me in the Marsden March.
In all I received over £200 in donations towards the Royal Marsden, Sutton.
The walk was 14 miles from the Royal Marsden Chelsea to the Royal Marsden Sutton.
It was a lovely day for the walk and a great atmosphere along the route. Together with two of my colleagues from Sutton we completed the walk in 3hrs 49mins.
After the walk Mick, Nick and I retired to the Railway pub near Cheam station to watch the rugby and the stragglers walking the last mile and a half to the hospital.
I was walking with “Team Southern” for Southern Railway, our aim was to raise £3,000 for the Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton, which treats people with cancer and we have already surpassed that target.
