We fell to our heaviest defeat in a long while last night going down 7-2 to a strong Derby side, writes skipper Ray Betts.
We were hit by late cry off’s from flu victim Bradford Bill unknown. With Lester Le Sausage and Positie Dave already unavailable we had to dig into the strengths of our squad but still managed to field a strong 5 – Reg –Wath – Keith – Psycho – Colin. The only one to come out of it with any credit was Colin who won his singles and doubles with Psycho.
We now have to play Derby again next Tuesday at the Royal Star and then Exeter at a date to be arranged. We are still in a good position, 1 point behind West Brom with a game in hand. Let’s hope we don’t do a typical Saints trick and blow it.
