Pool team get lucky

Saints pool team won a tight match last night with Exeter following in on the black in the last frame to hand us a 5-4 victory. There was never more than a frame in it either way for all evening and when Keith Richardson failed to finish in the last frame, leaving the black hanging over the bottom pocket with one easy yellow to pot it looked all over. Down went the yellow, we all looked away as their man shaped up to tap the black in, the hardy ones of us retiring to the bar for “one for the road” and then eureka! In went the black followed shortly after by the white! It capped what has been a hairy old week for The Grecians what with play-off wins and bombs going off.

As the table tells we still have a lot to do to catch Derby but we have to play them twice and with a game in hand we could still retain our trophy for a third year. Celtic did it last night and so can we!!
