Richard Mallett has not picked up a Golf club in six months (or so he says) but he didn't let that worry him as he took the honours earlier today at the London Saints Masters. He took the prizes for the main event as well as 'longest drive' and 'nearest the pin'.
Saints supporters were a little thin on the ground as 9 golfers turn up at Hainault Forest GC and whilst the weather was not the best, an enjoyable day's golf took place with scoring pretty good considering the conditions.

Richard scored 35 stableford points playing of the day's lowest handicap of 15 with Brian the Mackem taking runners-up spot with 32. The Wath took the wooden spoon prize but improved dramatically as his round progressed; scoring 4 points on the front 9 holes, 21 on the way back!
Tom Henson once again organised an enjoyable day with breakfast and lunch and prizes (for some) all part of the package.
The final stableford scores were as follows-
1st: PC Richard Mallett 35
2nd Brian the Mackem 32
3rd= Tom Henson/Peter Berkeley 29
5th= Reggie Betts/John Le Turk 28

7th= Fred Betts/Ernie Windowcleaner 27
9th Paul Wathan 25
