A busy weekend on the London Saints’ social front kicked off with the annual ‘LSSC Golf Masters’ on Friday. Steve Barnes took the members trophy with Martin Love top of the guests scoring.

So another London Saints' cricket season has drawn to a close. Here is the skipper's summary of another enjoyable year and he looks forward to 2010 when we will be celebrating our 30th year.

Jack Nicholson lookalike, Andy Jones, is an editor for a national newspaper. So he's used to copy deadlines and pressure. London Saints CC held their final game of 2009 at ex-Blues on September 4th and Andy promised a match report to LSSC's web office the next day.

Not much except that they are both due to fly back to Aus with the taste of defeat in their mouths. Here are the thoughts of Freddie having contributed to LSCC’s latest collapse.

In a double 20/20 match, London Saints squeezed past Platt CC by four runs in the sun in Kent. Report by Steve Keenan

We dropped ours, they caught theirs - they won!
Old Haberdashers v LSSC, 2nd Aug, 40 overs
Old Habs: 237 for 7
LSSC: 151 all out (Nanton 37, J.Quinn 31)
A reasonably comprehensive win for Old Habs but it could have been so different if we had just occasionally held on to the little red ball.
