We’ll soon be out of our misery one way or the other which means that attention turns to gentler summer sports and the onset of the London Saints Cricket season.
Once again we shall defy medical odds and embark on a season that will consist of 16 fixtures including a couple of new fixtures. This of course is preceded by 2 hour net sessions, the first of which took place last night at Paddington Rec. The boys demonstrated the necessary enthusiasm and anticipation of the forthcoming carnival by turning up in numbers. Three!
Further sessions are booked over the next three Thursdays (7-9pm) so please try and get along.
A number of players are undergoing changes in circumstances (moving away/ failing to keep it in their pants!) which means that we are in need of fresh blood so if anyone is interested and turning out, even for the odd game, then please contact Dave Thomas.
The matches are of a ‘sociable standard’, generally well organized and thoroughly enjoyable (weather permitting).
