The 2009 London Saints Masters took place on Friday at Mardyke Valley Golf Club in Essex. The competition was based upon stableford scoring with members and guests prizes up for grabs.
The event was blessed with good weather and good scoring (in most cases). Reggie Betts’ boss, Steve Barnes, took the coveted trophy with 35 points.
Nick Bergman took the role of self-appointed match referee. His stringent application of the laws bit him in the backside as he took the wooden-spoon prize (or would have done had he stayed around to correct the prize).
