Here we go - the summer-long schedule of where Gareth Bale is heading began today.
According to The Times, Spurs are "on the verge" of signing our Gareth in a deal that "could rise" to £10m.
As well as the Wales left back, Spurs are after Younes Kaboul, the France Under-21 captain, the report said.
And I quote: "Bale has been linked with a host of top-flight clubs, including Manchester United, but Tottenham appear to have won the race for his signature. It is believed that about £6 million will be paid up front, with the remainder made up in add-on clauses."
Is it true? Who knows - but these types of story are inevitable. Personally, I reckon he's worth £12m - but it should be cash upfront, please. Just like the Dean Richards deal.
Except this time Spurs are after a quality defender.
