Stalemate at Ashton Gate

Saints drew 1-1 at Bristol City in their pre-season friendly.

Kelvin Davies played his first game for Saints and Ricardo Fuller played his first pre-season friendly. Mario Licka, a Czech trialist also turned out.

Bristol City took the lead on 16 minutes when centre back Lewis Carey lost his marker to head home.

2 minutes Gregor Rasiak equalised as City made a defensive mistake of their own.

Team: Davis, Baird, Lundekvam (Ostlund 55), Higginbottom, Bale (Cranie 67), Dyer (Surman 45), Licka, Sarmiento (Prutton 45), Belmadi, Rasiak (Blackstock 75), Fuller (Wright-Phillips 70).

Approximately 600 Saints fans were in attendance.
