Saints have been rocked by the news that the injury to skipper Claus Lundekvam is worse than first feared and he will be sidelined for around six weeks with ankle ligament damage.
George Burley is already without Michael Svensson and Darren Powell and recently lost Darren Higginbottom to Stoke. Don’t be surprised to see him delve into the transfer or loan market for cover.
Meanwhile, Dutch teenager Roy Tulmans is spending a week at St.Marys. The 17-year-old has joined for a week long trial after his club VVV Venlo granted permission to Saints to run the rule over the player.
The talented youngster impressed Southampton scouts at a youth tournament in Holland back in May.
