Pericard signs on loan

Former Cameroon international Vincent Pericard has signed for Saints on a loan deal until the end of the season.

Pericard, 25, signed for Portsmouth from Juventus, although he never played for the Italians, before signing for Stoke in 2006. He has also represented Sheffield United and Plymouth on loan.

In August 2007, he was sentenced to 4 months in prison having been found guilty of perverting the course of justice. He had lied about being the driver of a car caught speeding at 193mph near Plymouth.

He goes straight into the squad to face Hull City tomorrow.
