Well, thank you all very much. I actually managed to win it!
It was a great night; champagne on arrival of course. The do was in the Mike Channon suite and was full of sponsors, players and the management. Food was good and plenty of wine (charged for the beer though!). SFC placed us on a table near the stage. The contenders had to come forward, a bit of a build up and Andrew Davies made the presentation. It was a real surprise. There are lots of photos of me in a black tie outfit - first and last time!
Claus made a sad and emotional speech - he got a standing ovation and the applause for him went on for ages.
I will no doubt see most of you at the matches to come and can expand more without boring you. Nigel Pearson made a serious speech on what we have to do in the next couple of weeks!
Leon Crouch came to the supporters table two or three times for a chat.
Once again many thanks to all the London Saints - very much appreciated. Here's to SFC staying in the Championship.
