Kenwyne Jones will undergo a scan on the ankle injury that forced him to limp out of Saints defeat at Preston.
Jones left Deepdale on crutches and although an X-ray showed no break, he will be checked for ligament damage or bruising to the bone.
The injury makes him doubtful for Saturday's trip to Stoke.
Alexander Ostlund and Darren Powell are back in full training and could be in contention to face the Potters.
