Nigel Pearson has confirmed he has disciplined two of his players after they were pictured in a nightclub.
Photographs of striker Bradley Wright-Phillips and winger Nathan Dyer, reportedly taken from CCTV in a Hampshire nightspot in the early hours of Thursday February 28, emerged in The Sunday Mirror over the weekend.
Allegations of theft at the nightclub have also been made, and Saints revealed they are now awaiting details of any police inquiry before taking further action.
In a statement on the club's official website, Pearson said: "The matter of the late-night socialising by these players has already been strongly dealt with internally.
"As far as the other allegations are concerned, the club views these seriously but will await full details and will then decide on what action to take."
Wright-Phillips was dropped for Saints' home game with Ipswich the following Saturday, while Dyer is currently sidelined with an ankle injury.
