Leon Crouch, Patrick Trant and Keith Wiseman are set to stand down following Chief Executive Lee Hoos’ decision to resign. This will negate the need for Friday’s EGM and pave the way for the return of former Chairmen Michael Wilde and Rupert Lowe.
The existing board have been working on a last ditch takeover by the group headed by Jonathan Fulthorpe which now looks to be another failed attempt to rescue the club.
Once the board has stepped down Wilde and Lowe, who are backed by 46 per cent of the club's shareholding, will to return to power at St Mary's as part of a four man PLC board also containing Andrew Cowen and finance director David Jones, the only man to survive the cull.
