Claus Lundekvam was presented with his 2005-06 London Saints Player of the Year trophy after the friendly against Panathanaikos.
On hand to do the honours were LSSC committee member Andy Saunders (at the back) and LSSC member John Middleton who was chosen in a random phone poll (ok, we left it late and John was the 13th we tried who was available and going to the game).
Claus is the sweaty one on the left looking suitably delighted. well ok, knackered but no doubt he would have said a few words if he had the energy.
But John was able to pen an email to London Saints: "Just a note to thank you for organising Saturday, which I really enjoyed. Although a slight shame we didn’t get to make the presentation on the pitch, in hindsight it was perhaps better after the game as Claus had a bit more time to talk then.
"He was nice, wasn’t he? I have met him before at a London Saints party and recall him being approachable then."
