Two London Saints members travelled to Fulham's training ground this week to present the London Saints' player of the year trophy (a handsome shield for a season and a tankard for life) for 2006-7 to Chris Baird. He took time out for a two minute interview:

Favourite Saints Moment - FA Cup Final 2003
Best Saints Player - Matt Le Tissier

Best Saints performance – FA Cup Final. I could have been man of the match.
Worst performance - my only disappointment was not playing enough games.
Best Manager - George Burley/Gordon Strachan
Best player played against - Rooney, Owen, Henrie, Torez
Best Goal – Saints V Cardiff (just watched it again on Saints TV). We had worked on the free kick that morning. I had two attempts, scored one and but the other went just wide, so I decided to save any more goes for the game.
Favourite music – ordinary pop music
Papers read – Sun, Daily Star
Northern Ireland qualification for Euro 2008? - I'm suspended for the Sweden game but I'm confident that NI can qualify. From Saints days, I really enjoyed being in Sweden on previous pre season tours.
Saints fan? I still look out for Saints' results. I'm still living down south and it's been tiring travelling up to London but will shortly be buying a house up here.
Last thought? - I'm looking forward to using the tankard!
