The great and the good of London Saints cricket club turned out in force for it's big gala night at 'The Sekara' Sri Lankan restaurant. Awards were handed out as skipper DT gave his usual entertaining fact packed speech.

London Saints skipper presents Damian 'Woodworm' Chalmers with his player of the season trophy for 2008 which he won hands down.

The Champagne moment of the season is rarely (or never) awarded for bone fide cricketing reasons. Mark Barber's Nelson Cup winning catch beat some find contenders.

As in all good awards ceremonies, there's always a recipient who can't be there to attend the award. Jon Loomes Senior accepted the Duck Trophy on behalf of Jon Loomes Junior who couldn't be there as he couldn't find the restaurant. Garry Burrell presents the fine new trophy which Anna, his girlfriend, had arranged to be made.
