Leeds coach trip off
Saints match at Leeds United on March 3rd will kick off at the later time of 5.20. London Saints will not, therefore, be organising a train trip.
Despite efforts, Ray Betts has been forced to call off the idea of a coach trip - he got to 23 commitments but to make the costs reasonable, a minimum of 30 fans were required.
Says Reg: @Unfortunately we have now been able to raise the required number of 30+. Having got it up to 23 at one stage numbers have now dwindled back down to 19. The coach was costing £1,400 so divided by just 19 makes it very unattractive at £73 per head.
"Two reasons are mainly to blame for the lack of interest (and both revolve around the wonderful Mr Bates!) I thought we would get some support from the Watford Saints but they are all boycotting the game and watching it live a pub in Central London as they refuse to pay the £36 ticket price. I also thought we might do a joint trip with some London Leeds boys but they are all boycotting the game because of the state the club is in and also refusing to put more money into Master Bates's pocket. We can of course sympathise with them after our experience with the Dark Lord (Lowe)!"
